One of the key factors of a web page position in Google’s search results is the PageRank. This is rank associated with each URL in the internet, the page rank is determined by Google’s patented algorithm to rank according to the amount and quality of the backlinks that the page has.
While we don’t know the real page rank that Google gives to the page, we know the Google toolbar page rank, which is a number from 0-10 that is shown when you install the Google toolbar and browse the specific web page. The numbers we can see in the toolbar are according to a logarithmical scale. This means that the higher the rank is the harder it will be to advance in the rank.
Since the page rank is such a critical factor for Google and Google controls around 60% of the search engine market, you need to monitor the page rank for multiple pages within your website.
Current page ranks are presented in tabular format for easy view.
Each result has a link to historical data on that webpage’s page rank. There is also a link to the keyword density of that page.
